Description
I took this photograph at Highfields Historic Village on Australia Day 2014 and thought it was a humorous composition, with the old britches blowing in the breeze on the clothesline.

I love this shot! I love hanging clothes on the line! A simple pleasure brought to life in this photo with added britches, and of course, the breeze! l/f

This bought a smile to my face. I am sitting in Perth at the moment with an early cuppa and this started my day well. Love the washing but the old dunny and the wooden clothes trolley which I had been using at my mother for the last week. I have never been to Highfields Historic Village so much go as this really caught my eye. The pantaloons and long johns really finish off a great photograph. sandy f/v

Hi Sandy, so nice of you to drop in and make such lovely comments about this photograph. Glad it brought a smile to your face! I don't envy you having to use the old dunny and wooden clothes trolley - can remember these from my own childhood too :)

Your work tell about life, especially "every-day" life, about the "old" and "new" days! I am sure this is a part of our honesty of life!
Therese Alcorn replied:
Hi Nicole, thanks very much for your thoughtful comments. Yes, life both old and new is all around us and inseparable, I think.

Terese, this is indeed a humorous composition and yet is so typical 1900's. Love to post processing:~) F&L
