Description
I spotted this old building in Athens and was amused by the sign (middle bottom) that reads "Sandwitches Toasts *Flower* Bougatsa - Cheese Pie - Ouzo". So wonderfully Greek! :)

V/F The charm of this picture immediately grabbed me - love the light, textures, and the wonderful, wonderful sign! My mother loved visiting Greece and spoke of it with great affection. She adored the people, the buildings, the light, and she felt things were, in her words, "genuine" - much like this sign:>).
Therese Alcorn replied:
That's exactly how I felt about Greece too, Carol! "Genuine" is such a good description of the people that I was fortunate to meet. I feel quite sad about the turmoil being experienced there at present. Thanks so much for your comments and the v/f, Carol - they're very much appreciated!

The building is amazing as is your photography, and the sign is very amusing, professionally done yet mis spelled or maybe that's how the greek say it.
Therese Alcorn replied:
Isn't it a cracker, Sharon? I saw a lot of signs with mis-spelled words and think they're really charming! :) Thanks very much for taking the time to really "see" this image, Sharon!!
