Description
The 'Cobber' statue near VC Corner at Fromelles, France is a very moving experience. At the time of visiting, the statue was surrounded by a sea of crocheted poppies on the outskirts of Fromelles, designed to honour Australians who fought and died in the Battle of Fromelles on 19 and 20 July 1916.
This sculpture titled 'Cobber' is by Peter Corlett and was commissioned by the Office of Australian War Graves.
